SY 2007-08

The Heidelberg District School Home Community Partnership sponsored a new PARTNERSHIP effort for SY 02-03 called "The Real World... what are you  doing? This program will Continue SY 07-08 sponsored by the Heidelberg School District, and co- sponsored by Heidelberg Youth Education Support Services and many other community organizations. This portrays the DoDEA   Community Strategic Plan - Goal 4 "Network of Partnerships Promoting Achievement..."

AWARD WINNING PROGRAM has touched many outside of the Heidelberg School District footprint.

These workshops will continue to meet of each month  at Heidelberg Middle School, with Parents & Students Grades 7-12 for various topics  on  preparing for Life after School.
  The session topics will vary from  establishing a portfolio, financing college, resumes, essay writing, test taking tips for  ASVAB/SAT/ACT/PSAT, service projects, self defense, life skills and many more. Workshops to choose from will be presented for career paths geared to going to college, the military,  vocational school or into the working world. Community Organizations volunteer to present these topics.  For More click HERE for our History Summary.

SY 04-05 the program director was awarded a “Philantropian Award” from the Germany chapter of PDK. SY 05-06 The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity awarded the program director a “Citizen of the Year” award. Military Child Education Coalition awarded the program “The Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Award” at the MCEC 2006 National Convention in Houston, Tx.
